Korean Dumpling Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch green onions
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper chili flakes
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon black vinegar
  • 2-3 tablespoons neutral oil (vegetable oil)

Optional

  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ginger paste
  • Sugar to taste, if you like the sweeter side

Substitutes

  • Can replace black vinegar with balsamic vinegar, apple cider vinegar or any wine vinegar, or even lemon juice with honey

  • Can replace oyster sauce with Hoisin sauce

  • Only use the rear ends of the green onions for this sauce

Instructions

Make

  • Chop green onions (bottom half only) and put everything together in a mixing bowl

  • Pour hot oil in the mixture and let it sizzle

  • Give the mixture a stir and serve your dumpling with the sauce on it

  • Can also use this sauce on ramen
