A quick Italian-style bread dipping oil — olive oil seasoned with garlic, parmesan, herbs, and red pepper flakes. There's no cooking involved; the flavors meld as the oil sits. Finely grated parmesan (not coarse shreds) is important here so it disperses into the oil rather than sinking to the bottom.

Ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1 teaspoon italian seasoning or oregano
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup finely grated parmesan
  • 1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

  • Combine everything together and enjoy with a bread

Storage

Oil doesn't go bad. Store it in an airtight container and shake well before use.

Because of other fresh ingredients, I wouldn't keep it more than a few weeks.
